Three full days of intensive riding and horsemanship. Limited to six participants, this course is designed to work in-depth with each individual. There are many elements to the development and practice of fine horsemanship that require commitment, dedication and patience. Many of these qualities are being lost through lack of education and a clear understanding of solid foundations.
These elements of classical horsemanship include:
- An understanding of the nature of the Horse
- History of Horsemanship
- Awareness of self
- Biomechanics
- Veterinary science and alternative therapies
- Balance and correct function of the foot
- Equipment- Use, fitting, effects of
We will work privately and in groups addressing refinement, improving balance in the horse and rider, partnership development and confidence. Expect a full day of riding and discussions each day! Participants will have the opportunity to work with Hy Court Farm horses of varying ages and stages of training.
