Our Ride-A-Test days will focus on preparing you to use the skills you have developed at our Versatility practice days for use in a show setting. This is your opportunity to ride a Versatility test in front of a judge, be scored on your performance, receive feedback and coaching to improve your skills and then re-ride your test for the judge. Riders/handlers may select from three levels of Versatility; In-Hand, Intro or Intermediate.
The clinic will begin with two hours of coached schooling on the outside Versatility course, and then each rider will ride their test for the judge. Tests will be ridden in the covered arena over a “show” course. Coaching and comment review after your ride will give you specific areas of refinement to address during more schooling on the outside course, then after a delicious and healthy lunch, you will re-ride your test for the judge.
The $125 tuition for this clinic includes all coaching throughout the day, two judged and scored rides, a healthy lunch, a shady day pen for your horse to relax in and theory discussion. Pre-requisites for this clinic are attendance of a Versatility clinic or Camp at Hy Court Farm. We expect these clinics to fill quickly, so be sure to get your registration in promptly!
